I have been throwing this idea around in my head for a bit. I think this sort of post might help me accomplish my reading goals. I generally have a few books going at once, but limiting myself to two at a time has been helpful. It keeps me a little more focused.

{currently reading} The Wise Man’s Fear by Patrick Rothfuss / If Not, Winter: Fragments of Sappho by Anne Carson

books1

The Wise Man’s Fear is the second book in a new fantasy trilogy. It’s a relatively easy read, but it’s lovely. This is the first series I’ve ever read more or less in sync with the newest publication. I’m looking forward to the third book in a big way!

I actually always have a few books of poetry at hand, but this book is my newest acquisition. I keep poems for times when I can’t sleep or am feeling anxious.

{up next} Turtle Feet by Nikolai Grozni / Joyland by Stephen King

books2Turtle Feet has been sitting on my bookshelf for ages, and Timothy recently lent Joyland to me. It’s pretty rare that I actually read a freshly published book, so I’ll probably read that one next.

{book wishlist} Still Life with Oysters and Lemon by Mark Doty / The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman
