  1. This chocolatey orange lip scrub from LUSH has been a post-winter savior. This particular flavor is an Easter-only item, and I’m really disappointed that I didn’t think to buy more than one. I love it so much! I might try to scoot back into the Harvard Square location before class on Monday next week and grab another. Will they still have it? I don’t knoooow!
  2. I’ve fallen hard for Pacifica’s Indian Coconut Nectar scent, which is a delicious warm blend of vanilla and coconut. I use this new hair and body spray every single day. Pacifica is 100% vegan and cruelty free. This smells like summer.
  3. This tee from Pretty Nobody Co hits me right in the feels. It’s my life.
  4. Boy Bye is a new spring shade from Trust Fund Beauty and it’s gorgeous.
  5. If you’re in need of new flip flops this summer, do yourself a favor and buy a pair of Sanuks. Trust me. I am a former flip flop hater. Three years ago, the Yoga Mat flips changed my life. I will never stop talking about these. Shown here is the Yoga Mat Webbing.
  6. I would very much like to read this book now, please and thank you. May 30!?
  7. Weird Beard Candle Company released a new batch of scents earlier this week. Float On is officially on my wishlist! I need it! Please somebody feel free to buy me ten of them. When I was a kidlet, the rootbeer scented scratch n’ sniffs were my favorites. And honestly, the smell of root beer is still pretty darn euphoric for me.

  • I’ve recently become obsessed with Humm Kombucha. You can find it at Target and it’s basically… kombucha for people who are new to kombucha? Mainstream booch? I don’t know. It’s very sweet, almost like soda. My favorite is the coconut lime. I choose to be low key about my kombucha drinking, because it gives Teej the major heebie jeebies, but this stuff is treat city.
  • Are you a fiddler? I’m definitely a fiddler. While I tend to go for things like doughy or squishy fidget toys (kinetic sand is my favorite thing), these 3D printed gadgets from AntsyToys look like they’re so much fun!
  • I received a fun box of new-to-me cosmetics and skincare goodies from Ulta in the mail, and I can’t wait to share the unboxing with you! This is the summer I learn how to actually paint my face! I hope you’ll come along for the ride. I’ve got a tiny sneak peek up on Insta.
  • It’s still National Park Week! Entrance to all National Parks is free this weekend. Go explore!

  1. Some beardy fellow I know is getting a birthday gift from The Parks Project. Obviously, I’m not going to tell you what it is, but it’s not this tee. I want this tee for me.
  2. Until I’m able to find a reusable cup for iced coffee that I am 100% pleased with, disposable iced coffee cups are pretty much my one major ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE FOR THE PLANET …thing. I don’t drink a daily takeout iced coffee, but I definitely splurge multiple times a week. Enter, the coffee cozy. The Lovemich Collection iced coffee cozy has been a highly coveted item in my life for about two years, now, and I finally managed to snag the lovely purple one picture above. I totally understand the hype. My ice remained unmelted, my cup remained drip-free, and my hands (because ICED COFFEE ALL YEAR ROUND) remained relatively un-frozen. Do I maybe feel just a little bit “basic?” Yes, a bit. But I also feel really good about supporting a woman who makes a high-quality and aesthetically pleasing handmade product. The girl is a boss, and she deserves all the praise and hype she receives. Each product is available in very limited quantities during a short window of time. The shop sells out in a matter of minutes. I suggest joining the mailing list and setting a reminder when the next update comes around.
  3. A friendly reminder in the form of this enamel pin.
  4. Am I the only modern lady who’s a one-purse-at-a-time kind of person? I used to have a great little Lilypond bag that I managed to score second hand. It got lost at DCA long before its time was due, and as much as I’m okay with my current crossbody bag, it doesn’t really hold a candle to my old Lilypond. The Rainshower is likely to be my next purse.
  5. Hello. My name is Naomi and I am a Cocokind Collective convert. That alliteration, though. I recently purchased the matcha moisture stick to use on dry patches and dark circles, and I have to say it’s a keeper. This definitely falls under the category of “I could make this myself, but I simply can’t be bothered, and this is pretty much perfect.” The vegan-friendly version of this product contains shea butter and candelilla wax instead of beeswax.
  6. The Metamorphosis bath bomb from LUSH is only available online. I really wish I had a bathtub, because this speaks to me on a level I never thought possible in a bath product.
  7. I’m going to be honest. I am not in love with the newest catalog from Jamberry. Most of the new wraps are totally gaudy and unwearable. Shown here is New World, literally the only design I would purchase, given the disposable funds. It’s a nice combination of softer shades and graphic black and I fell for it immediately. Good for summertime, I think!

Sorry for the silence as of late. I realize there are only a handful of people reading this, but I do feel like I should be sharing something, even if it’s just a simple Friday Favorites. School is taking up a lot of my time and energy, which is not at all a bad thing, but it leaves little time for this space. I think the only other thing I have to offer right now is too many photos of my dumb cat. When I’m not reading or writing for class, I mostly just want to watch Netflix. I’m sure you understand. Also, my cat is just really darn photogenic.

  1. In support of The National Parks Conservation Association and The National Park Foundation, Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab has released a new scent. From BPAL: “The Theoi Nomioi are the gods and spirits of the wild: the countryside, the pastures, the forests. Under their auspices, untamed nature thrives, the beasts of the wild feast and multiply, the mountains reach to the heavens with their stony, snow-capped fingers, and the forests grow thick and dark with mystery.” You can follow the rogue un-gagged NPS Twitter account here, @AltNatParkSer.
  2. I guess I’m just feeling soft pinks and purples these days. This rhodonite Precious Threads bracelet from Alex and Ani is calling to me in dulcet, romantic tones.
  3. Spring has officially sprung at PrAna, and the collection is right up my alley. I’m particularly fond of this crochet neck top, which is Fair Trade and made from a recycled/organic fabric blend.
  4. Speaking of spring (because that’s what we do in January, I guess), Sparitual’s Inhale collection is gorgeous. Shown here is Inner Peace, which is probably my favorite of the bunch.
  5. Wave rings are back in stock at Pura Vida Bracelets. Available in gold plate and sterling silver. You can save 20% on your Pura Vida order with the code NAOMIDENSMORE20.
  6. These wooden sunglasses are on my shopping list. My current pair of shades is completely and utterly useless. Sometimes a girl just needs something both practical and fun. Love the rainbow.

  1. Being a PrAna Influencer means I get a sneaky peek at new styles. Lucky me! The new Cascade top in Gray Indigo is on my fall wishlist. I have a feeling I’m going to own the whole leggings and sweater thing this year. I’m getting older, and I just want to be comfy all the time. PrAna has an incredible selection of recycled and sustainable materials. I absolutely adore this company.
  2. I may have treated myself to both color ways of the new lotus pin from Inner Decay. That was a good mail day.
  3. Vena’s Fizz House is one of my favorite Portland spots, primarily because it’s one of the few adult places I’ve seen with an extensive (and beautiful) non-alcoholic drink menu. On our last visit, I got an orange shrub with house-made chocolate syrup. It was amazing. They have a great cocktail selection, too! Check out their infusion kits.
  4. The new fall collection from SpaRitual, Feminine, is out, with a few good neutrals. Spontanenous is probably my favorite.
  5. I’m a sucker for a classic hoop earring. I like a good mix of silver and gold when it comes to jewelry.
  6. I love these limited edition Chandra slip ons. These shoes are a collaborative effort between Bucketfeet and Piece & Co., a company that provides the fashion industry beautiful hand-crafted fabric ethically made by female artisans around the world.
  7. This underwear set from Thief and Bandit is the cutest. It looks super comfy, too.

Happy Friday, friendos! Have a great weekend!

  1. Alex and Ani’s Deep Sea collection is stunning. I love the Marina Deep Sea wrap bracelet.
  2. I appreciate that this incense holder from Free People is suitable for both stick and cone incense.
  3. This muted mint shade, called Lush, from LVX is summertime perfection. LVX polishes are 7-free, cruelty-free, and vegan.
  4. I ran out of notecards recently, and it was a sad day. Check out these sea life cards!
  5. Tj dragged me into LUSH a couple weeks ago (because I kept insisting I didn’t need anything), and they had this new(ish) soap, Outback Mate, at the register. It smells SO GOOD. Eucalyptus, peppermint, and lemongrass.
  6. This journal is on my wishlist.
  7. I love Loyal Citizen Clothing out of Portland, and this Maine state flag tee. #VerMainer

There’s an Ingress event coming up at the end of August in Portland (the one in Maine), so I’m currently a little bit obsessed with accessorizing. I play on Enlightened, which is represented by the color green. Thus, that nail polish and tee. Team spirit, friends!

While we’re kind of on the subject, I want to take a quick moment to speak in defense of games like Ingress and its baby sibling Pokemon Go. Games that get people, especially painfully introverted people like me, out of the house and socializing are great. Nerdstuff has often kept me inside and away from people, but instead I’ve climbed mountains. I’ve been to the edge of the world in the middle of the night. I’ve explored local cemeteries under a dusting of snow. I’ve run like a mad-person around Brooklyn, getting sunburned and blistered and giving people high fives. And I’ve gotten to do most of it with my best friend. I’ve also met some genuinely great human beings I would never have otherwise met! Maybe don’t be so quick to judge people on what they choose to do for fun. That says more about you than anyone else, and the world is already a pretty terrible place. Why make it worse? You might not get it. Well, I don’t get Game of Thrones (or any other popular television show TBH), but I don’t expect you to explain or defend your evening leisure activities to me. I’m cool with you watching TV.

* If you’re an Ingress player who plans on traveling to these parts at the end of August, stay tuned. I’m going to round up some friends and put together a girldust approved places to eat and drink list. Or you know, if you’d like to meet up and say hullo that weekend, I am so down.
